2022 Pilcrow Glass Rock
Coombsville is cool and fresh and often wind-swept. The aspect is Northwest by West and the slope is steep. All of this rolls up into one very bright, very crunchy, almost salty type of Cabernet Sauvignon. Singular. Unconventional beauty. That's why this is our "Bette Davis" wine.

When Al and Boots found the tucked-away corner of Napa that they called “Diamond Creek” it was their eureka moment. Jonah felt the same way about discovering Glass Rock. F-ing eur-eka.
Inspiration
Al and Boots Brounstein took the concept of terroir in Cabernet Sauvignon and showed the world that vineyards didn’t have to be miles apart to reveal a unique personality. No, they could be quite literally next to one another but as long as they had their differentiators they could be magical. Be that a meadow, unique color, fiery origin, or a lake.

95 - 97 2022 Glass Rock Cabernet Sauvignon
“Deep purple-black in color, it sails out of the glass with energetic notes of redcurrant jelly and freshly crushed blackcurrants followed by hints of violets, wild sage, crushed rocks, and damp soil plus a hint of mossy tree bark. The light to medium-bodied palate is bright and crunchy … and a lively line of wonderfully refreshing acidity … a real skip in its step..”
