2022 Pilcrow Glass Rock Private Stock - 3 Bottles

$375.00

This vineyard is the pulse of Coombsville meaning cold nights, wind off the bay, and volcanic soils that hit every note from iron-red lava to quartz and jasper. It’s Singular. Unconventional. Alive.

Organically grown, dry-farmed, no shortcuts—and handled with a light touch in the cellar. What comes out is Cabernet with energy: bright red fruit that leans to wild strawberry and glacier cherry cut with a savory, saline edge that feels like sea spray on the palate.

Tension. Texture. Vibe.

“I will never forget sitting in the kitchen with Skylar and Elliott and talking about the potential that I saw in Glass Rock Ranch. About how with great care and absolute intention we could coax out of their Xanadu a very special wine. I remember telling them that it would be hard (and costly!) but at the end of the day they would have a vineyard that made them proud…and that I would have magical grapes for making wine…and that if we did this together it would be one hell of a ride. I sat for a moment not knowing if they were convinced. They responded with one, overwhelming and overriding sentiment that has driven us all, ever since: LET’S F*ING GO! I couldn’t ask for better partners.” — Jonah

Inspiration

Al and Boots Brounstein took the concept of terroir in Cabernet Sauvignon and showed the world that vineyards didn’t have to be miles apart to reveal a unique personality. They could be, quite literally, next to one another…and yet…as long as they had their special sense of place they would be singular.
